Meet The Bedford DAB Team
Bedford DAB is run by an experienced team of media professionals with links to the local area.
Tony Dibbin - Project Lead
Tony is one of the UK’s most accomplished broadcasters he can be heard daily across the UK on Bauer Media's Absolute Radio 70s, Nation Broadcasting's Nation Radio UK and at the weekend on Greatest Hits Radio.
In January of 2022 Tony launched a radio station all of his own - An idea which Tony had during the first Covid-19 lockdown has gained some serious momentum. Arena Radio is the World's first all live music radio station. In less than 12 months Tony took the idea from concept design to broadcasting on DAB Digital Radio, online, smart speakers, it's own app for smart devices and also on the UKRadioplayer platform.
His CV is studded with some of the biggest stations of the last 26 years. He completed a 10 year stint as host of the daily Breakfast show on Global’s Gold network in May of 2019 and is also a regular fixture on stations around the world. Most recently Tony has worked in an executive role as Head of Music & Presentation at Fix Radio, the builder's station.
Tony has worked on legendary radio stations including Atlantic 252, Chiltern Radio, Beacon, Gold and Heart.
He hosts daily shows in New Zealand for Real Radio, and his ‘Artist Profile’ presentations rule the high seas for P&O's Cruise Radio.
Tony has experience and skilled knowledge of all commonly used play out systems and has regularly been called to handle music scheduling. In the case of Gold, a clear factor in its success.
Tony is a proud dad of two kids and spends most of his down time being diverted in to bowling alleys, cinemas, restaurants, theme parks and sunny beaches alongside training his Beagle called Buddy.
